Worldskills Attracts 30,000 Students
WorldSkills Ireland 2025 welcomed 30,000 students from 300 schools to explore careers, trades, and apprenticeships. Opened by Minister Harkin, the three-day event highlighted the vital role of skills in Ireland’s future economy and provided a unique opportunity for young people to connect directly with employers, educators, and industry leaders.
This year’s event saw 180 finalists go head-to-head in 35 National Competition Finals spanning construction, engineering, ICT, hospitality, logistics, automotive, creative arts, and more. The live competitions not only showcase the high standard of talent and ambition among Ireland’s apprentices and students, but also shine a light on the essential role skills play in building a future-ready workforce.
