Visitors Up in June

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation has issued its latest monthly tourism dashboard which shows that international visitor numbers were up 8% for June compared to the same month last year despite the British source market being flat.

A total of 669,500 international visitors were in Ireland during June, spending €684 million. North America was the most valuable market, accounting for 41% of that spend.

46% of visitors came for reasons of holiday/leisure and the length of stay remained unchanged, averaging 7.3 nights per visitor.
