Too ‘Darn’ Hot

A Kildare restaurant and bar opted to close its kitchen for two days this week due to temperatures surpassing 40C inside during the heatwave.

Kildare restaurant 33 South Main on Main Street, Naas, took to social media to inform customers that the kitchen wwould be closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 18 and 19, due to the heatwave.

In a statement they said: "Not a lot of people know this, but even in normal outside temperatures the kitchen can get as high as 30+ degrees. With this in mind, and along with all of the amazingly hard work our kitchen team have been doing lately, we feel it is only fair with the weather warning that we close our kitchen this Monday and Tuesday."
