Summer Heritage in Dun Laoghaire

Councillor Jim O'Leary, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, launched the Summer into Heritage programme 2024 at County Hall, Dún Laoghaire.

The dlr Summer of Heritage is a programme of free guided walks and tours organised by the Heritage Office of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and will run from 1 July - 1 September. 

From the coast, tours visit Seapoint and James Joyce Martello Towers, the drawings of the Oratory and the secrets of Dalkey Castle. Travelling to the mountains, Marlay and Cabinteely House reveal their hidden history.

Guided tours this year include National Maritime Museum, Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre, James Joyce Tower, Quaker Burial Ground, Deansgrange Cemetery, Historic County Hall, The Oratory, Cabinteely House, All Saint's Church, Marlay House and Fernhill Park & Gardens.
