Standard plans Dublin hotel
US hotel group Standard Hotels plans to open its first hotel in Ireland at Dublin Arch on the north side of the city.
The hotel is expected to open in 2025 and will have 200 rooms.
The Standard Hotels group spwcialises in unique design and central city location.. The group has hotels in New York city, London and Miami, and openings in Ibiza, Lisbon, Brussels and Milan are planned for the year ahead.
Standard International chief executive Amber Asher said that Dublin is a "fitting destination" for its brand, and, "The city has emerged into an incredibly vibrant technology and commercial hub, with an enormous amount to offer from historical, cultural, musical and culinary points of view. We are excited to partner with Ballymore to develop a new home for Dublin's creative community and a destination for locals and visitors alike."
