Spotlight on Cork Cuisine

Six travel journalists from Germany, representing various print and online publications, have been exploring Cork and our culinary offering as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

The journalists – who have a combined reach of 2.5 million people across Germany – arrived on the direct Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Cork. As well as highlighting ease of access for German holidaymakers to Cork, the aim of this visit was to shine a spotlight on Cork’s superb culinary offering and the many great things to see and do, through the articles and content the visiting journalists will write and share.

Nadine Lehmann, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Germany, said: 

“There really is no better way to showcase Ireland’s unique appeal – especially Cork’s vibrant food scene – than by experiencing it at first-hand. Through the articles and content they create and share, the journalists will inspire their audiences to come and experience Cork, Ireland and our superb culinary offering for themselves.”
