Ruby Joins ‘Thoroughbred Day’
Over 100 tourism providers in Kildare and Tipperary gathered at The K Club for a Fáilte Ireland Thoroughbred Destination Forum and Networking Event.
The event brought Kildare and Tipperary tourism industry providers, including hotels, activity providers, and attractions together to connect and learn more about the Thoroughbred industry's heritage and people. Special guest speaker Ruby Walsh, Irish Racing Champion, shared his passion and insights on a life involved in the Thoroughbred industry.
A series of panel discussions and interviews also took place at the event, giving insights to attendees on the thoroughbred proposition, culture and people, illustrating why the thoroughbred is such an integral part of the Irish fabric and how Kildare and Tipperary have nurtured their unique identity around this heritage.
Brian O’Flynn, Head of Ireland’s Ancient East at Fáilte Ireland, said:
“This workshop is a great opportunity for the thoroughbred industry to collaborate with tourism colleagues and create experiences that will share the unique thoroughbred stories and culture with visitors.”
