ROG Wows Hoteliers
Rugby legend Ronan O’Gara was given an enthusiastic reception from more than 300 Irish hoteliers when he joined them for an interview with Ivan Yates at the IHF Conference in Killarney.

The former Munster and Ireland captain and out-half who is now director of rugby at French Top 14 club La Rochelle shared memories of his playing days and insights into his coaching philosophy during a 90-minute session which included a Q&A with delegates.
Sport has its highs and lows, he said, comparing his game-losing missed penalty for Munster in a Heineken Cup final to his last minute drop goal which won a Grand Slam for Ireland.
Explaining that virtually all elite professional players have a high skill set, he said that the role of the coach is to ensure that they are fully-committed team players and have the right mental approach to games.
He spoke highly of the ethos at Munster during his playing days there and said that his experience was of great value when he pursued a coaching career.
