Restaurant to Host ‘Wonderland’

“The Magic of Wonderland”, described as “a theatrical cocktail experience”, is coming to Flanagan’s Bar & Restaurant on Dublin’s O’Connell Street. First created some four years ago, this production has visited New York, Vancouver and Toronto.

Audiences will need to brush up their riddles as strange alcoholic shots will only be served to those who can answer some of the Hatters quirky stories.

Flanagan’s will be hosting a number of Showon's immersive productions, with The Magic of Wonderland being the first.

“Chef has been asked to prepare a range of ‘Eat Me’ cakes,” said one of the creative directors, “And customers shrinking to under five and a half inches will be given a complimentary refund and a ladder.”

It seems that providing you don't mind being judged by a White Rabbit, there will be prizes for customers arriving in character. The nonsense continues with audiences being invited to participate in a Royal Croquet tournament organised by The Queen of Hearts. The event has of course no rules, and it appears that losers may also lose their heads.

This “superb load of nonsense” is suitable for adults, children and judges. The case of the Missing Jam Tarts will be heard in Court Five rather than being forwarded to the Four Courts.

Actors will be auditioned in Dublin as the production company always looks to work with local talent.
