Radisson Red for Galway

A Radisson RED hotel in Galway is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors later this year. The new hotel will feature 177 rooms, each reflecting Radisson RED’s signature style and design which incorporates art, music and fashion.

Designed by Henry J. Lyons Architects as part of the new Crown Square Development, Radisson RED Galway will be an eight-storey building with views over Galway Bay and the hills of Clare from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Crown Square is a five-minute drive from Galway’s city centre.

Radisson RED Galway will offer more than 400 square metres of meeting and event space on the lower ground floor. This includes a versatile 300sqm conference space which can be split into two individual meeting rooms, in addition to a 200sqm breakout space.

The overall project, which is a €40 million investment, is being developed by the Galway-based Rhatigan Group and built by the long-established JJ Rhatigan & Company. Rhatigan Group are also responsible for the development of Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin City Centre and the €20m Dublin Royal Convention Centre.

Radisson RED Galway is the first Radisson RED hotel to open in Ireland. The brand has a presence in the UK, Berlin, Vienna and Madrid, including the existing Radisson RED Glasgow and the flagship Radisson RED Liverpool, as well as Radisson RED London Twickenham, which is scheduled to open its doors in 2025, and Radisson RED Edinburgh Airport planned to open in the next couple of years.

Radisson Hotel Group has 78 hotels with approximately 17,000 bedrooms across its UK and Ireland portfolio, with 15 properties and 2,500 rooms in the pipeline.
