Osprey Adds Work Hub

The PREM Group’s Osprey Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare has launched The Osprey Hub, a contemporary, co-working space where people can escape the home office and work in one of two shared, open plan areas. This bright and comfortable digital office hub has been designed by architect and star of RTE’s ‘Home of the Year’ Hugh Wallace and architect Damian Meehan of Douglas Wallace Consultants.

The Osprey Hub offers workers their own dedicated desk space or privacy booth with access to soundproof pods for confidential calls and digital pedestals where people can securely store files or belongings. There are also boardrooms which can be hired for private meetings, and these rooms are equipped with a 55-inch Sony Display and Polycom premium USB video bar for hybrid conferencing over Microsoft or Zoom. The Hub also has free parking, super-fast, fibre WiFi and offers users unlimited data usage, which is ideal for anyone who works with large media files or photography. The reception area is staffed by a reception team who can assist with any room bookings or particular requests that the Hub users may have.

The Hub is open daily from 8.00am to 8.00pm and offers a total of 22 self-contained booth and desk spaces – each with an ergonomic desk and swivel chair. Each desk has three power point sockets, two USB’s and a desk lamp, and apart from having natural ventilation, air filtrations systems have also been built into each shared space.
Plush carpets, Italian light fittings and furniture by Frezza and Fantoni in the co-working spaces have all cumulated in the creation of a stylish space.

Jim Murphy, CEO of the PREM Group said, 'The work that has gone into this new facility is absolutely top class, and the design ideas of Hugh Wallace, Damian Meehan and the rest of the team at Douglas Wallace really are stunning. The facilities on offer at the Osprey Hub will be second to none, and I am confident that it is a great addition to The Osprey and to the town of Naas.'

The new hub has been created with the help of government funding through the Department of Rural and Community Development. Prices start from €25 plus VAT to hire a desk for the day, and this price includes free parking and complimentary tea and coffee. Short and medium term hire packages are also available which offer added benefits such as discounts in the Osprey Hotel and in the Osprey Spa and gym next door.

The Osprey Hub now joins the government’s initiative to promote Connected Hubs all around Ireland which will be used to build capacity and enhance existing remote working facilities around Ireland. Workers can now book desk space in their local hub via a new mobile app. With 200 hubs on the Connected Hubs network, remote working will become a reality for thousands.
