On Tour in Texas

Ten tourism companies from Ireland joined Tourism Ireland in Texas to promote the island as the ideal destination for corporate meetings and incentive travel.

The “Meet in Ireland” showcase visited Dallas and Houston and involved B2B events in each city, where the tourism companies from Ireland – all specialists in Business Events – connected with over 30 US meeting and event planners. Tourism Ireland’s message is that Ireland offers a winning combination of world-class infrastructure, unique and luxurious accommodation, state-of-the-art venues, spectacular landscapes and fantastic hospitality, making it the perfect destination for meetings and incentive travel.

The tour comes as Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke TD launched Business Events 2030 – Ireland’s new Business Events strategy – which will play a crucial role in positioning Ireland as a leader in the global Business Events market, ensuring we attract high value business that brings overseas visitors and long-term benefits for the economy and communities.

David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Business Events and Luxury, said:

“Our ‘Meet in Ireland’ Texas showcase provided a great platform to promote Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events. We were delighted to have ten tourism companies from Ireland with us this week, showcasing the best of Ireland to influential American meeting and incentive travel planners.”
