O’Callaghans Launch ‘Gateway’
The Gateway Hotel Dundalk was officially launched by the O’Callaghan Family Group, represented by Matthew O’Callaghan and Denis Williams.
The Gateway Hotel is the new name for The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk. The 14-storey hotel towers over the Dundalk skyline and has become a well-known landmark. The new name reflects the hotel being located as the gateway to both Dublin and Belfast, being only one hours’ drive to each city.
The O’Callaghan Family Group are also the proprietors of the nearby Fairways Hotel in Dundalk. The Gateway Hotel will be managed by the iNUA Collection hotel group, who also manage The Fairways Hotel. All the existing management and employees who were previously employed by The Crowne Plaza Dundalk will continue to work at The Gateway Hotel.
The hotel has 129 guest bedrooms and suites and has extensive conference facilities, including The Hamilton Suite, which accommodates over 300 guests and a further eight boardrooms. The new owners are planning a refurbishment programme of the hotel over the next few years.
