Michelle Wins John Toner Award
Michelle Campion, sales and marketing manager at Select Hotels and Experiences, was presented with the inaugural “John Toner Next Generation Award” at the IHI President’s Dinner in Anantara The Marker Hotel, Dublin.
The presentation was made by John’s daughter, Clare Toner.
The dinner marked the completion of the tenure of Darragh O’Neill as IHI President. He will be succeeded by Ciara Drohan of Tifco Hotels.
Since its inception, the Irish Hospitality Institute has been committed to the belief that continuous professional development is vital for cultivating industry leaders and, by extension, for the future growth of the hospitality and tourism sectors.
To honour this belief, the IHI established the John Toner Next Generation Award. This award recognises the exceptional contributions made throughout a distinguished career by past President and Fellow John Toner FIHI to tourism and hospitality across the island of Ireland.
The award will be presented annually to an individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous professional development. It aims to provide recipients with funding to enhance their skills and unlock their potential through a programme of their choosing.
