Marker Adds Anantara Brand
A gold-themed launch party celebrated the opening of Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel in Dublin’s Docklands, hosted by General Manager Michael Davern.
Lorraine Keane was the MC for the evening and spoke on stage with Spa and Wellness Director Bodina Quereshi, Director of People and Culture Claire Robert, and Executive Chef Gareth Mullins.
“Anantara is an ultra-luxurious brand which celebrates and works with genuine and authentic visitor experiences, people and places,” said Davern.
Guests included the brother of the chairman and founder of Minor Hotels and Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, Skip Heinecke, and his wife Kathleen who cut the ribbon to launch the hotel.
Grazing stations were set up in the ballroom where guests could sample John Stone Dry Aged Irish Beef aged with Teelings Whiskey, hand-shucked Flaggy Shore oysters and shallot dressing, Irish farmhouse cheeses, and handmade sweets and chocolates.
Camilla Coburn Davis, Director of PR for Anantara Europe, was on hand to present 13 vouchers to guests who won weekend breaks in some of the other Anantara destinations on the continent, which include Amalfi, Nice, Rome, Budapest, Amsterdam, Vilamoura and Marbella.
Since Anantara has taken over what was previously known as The Marker Hotel, all of the 187 bedrooms have been renovated, the bar and public areas have been reimagined and a brand-new restaurant, Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins, will open in the coming weeks.
