Lough Erne Double
Lough Erne Resort has won two awards at the Licensed & Catering News Awards ceremony.
Recognised as the “Hotel of the Year” (Over 75 Rooms) and winner of the “Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year” award, the resort continues to set the standard for hospitality excellence and innovative marketing in Northern Ireland.
The highly competitive Hotel of the Year (more than 75 rooms) category, sponsored by Abbey Upholstery, featured a strong lineup of finalists, and this is the second year in a row the resort has won this title.
In the Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year category, sponsored by Ireland’s Wedding Journal, Lough Erne Resort’s innovative Christmas 2024 voucher campaign stood out for its creativity and effectiveness.
Moving beyond conventional approaches, the campaign focused on spreading goodwill and positivity through unique public engagement activities. These included the team visiting Enniskillen to surprise the public with uplifting notes, voucher experiences and performances at Belfast Christmas Markets with brand ambassador Nathan Carter, and a partnership with a prominent jewellery brand.
A staff-led “lost resort teddy bear” initiative at Kildare Village, inspired by Home Alone 2, engaged shoppers with film-themed challenges to win gift experiences and breaks.
Gareth Byrne, general manager of Lough Erne Resort, said: “These awards recognise the passion and dedication of our team who continually strive to provide outstanding hospitality and pioneering experiences for our guests.”
