Lavinia Takes Wicklow Title
Lavinia Byrne, restaurant supervisor at Glenview Hotel and Leisure Club, has been announced as the 24/25 Irish Hotels Federation Wicklow Branch “Employee of the Year”.
Congratulating Lavinia on the award, IHF Wicklow Branch Representative Joesph Scott-Lennon said the judges highlighted Lavinia’s ability to adapt, her awareness of the importance of ensuring the guests are looked after, and openness to working with team members across the hotel.
Lavinia has worked at the Glenview Hotel and Leisure Club for the last six years as restaurant supervisor, where she is responsible for the breakfast team. As part of her role, Lavinia is dedicated to training new members of the team when they come in, including training students who join the team for work experience and through the hotel’s international student programme.
Other presentations on the day included a “Rising Star Award” to William Gregory, maintenance at Woodenbridge Hotel and Lodge, and a “Highly Commended Award” to Kevin Bishop, bartender at the Arklow Bay Hotel.
