'Ireland with Michael' Returns

Irish tenor Michael Londra is back in Ireland filming for season four of his television show Ireland With Michael. The new season of the TV series will air to millions of viewers across the United States on PBS (American TV network), shining a spotlight on our culture, music and history – through the eyes of our greatest assets, our artists.

Michael (seated, left) is pictured with Julie Dixon, Old Bushmills Distillery (seated, right), with a film crew during filming for Ireland With Michael at the Old Bushmills Distillery.

Season four, which will air early next year, follows the same format as previous seasons – with eight half-hour episodes filmed at locations across Ireland. Filming is taking place at places like King John’s Castle in Limerick, the Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, Adare Manor, the Wild Honey Inn in Lisdoonvarna, Shannon Airport, Spanish Point, Kilbeggan Distillery, Athlone Castle, Seán’s Bar in Athlone, Graiguenamanagh, Altamont Gardens, Game of Thrones Studio Tour, Ulster Folk Museum, the Causeway Coastal Route and the Old Bushmills Distillery, Ulster American Folk Park, as well as Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Ireland With Michael  is sponsored by Tourism Ireland, CIE Tours International and Aer Lingus. Filming was supported by Fáilte Ireland and Tourism NI.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said:

“Music is a fundamental part of contemporary Irish culture and an important aspect of a vacation to Ireland. PBS is available in over 100 million households across the United States, so this will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase Ireland and our rich culture and authentic visitor experiences to a huge audience in 2024 and encourage them to book their trip to Ireland.”

Also in season four of Ireland with Michael, Londra will take viewers to some popular and some of our lesser-known locations – to learn about our history, meet local artisans, experience some of our pubs and delicious local produce, as well as to enjoy unique musical and cultural experiences. He will travel from county to county, connecting with local musicians and artists and immersing viewers in our rich heritage and culture.
