The Convention Centre Dublin and the Sandymount Hotel are among the winnears at the 25th World Travel Awards in Greece.
Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has retained the title of ‘Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Centre’ . This is the second consecutive year that The CCD has won this award, winning both the European and World title in 2017.
The venue beat off competition from Austria Center Vienna, Berlin ExpoCenter City, ExCeL London, Fira Barcelona, Grand Resort Lagonissi, Istanbul Congress Center, Messe Frankfurt Convention Centre, MiCo Milano Congressi, Palais Des Congres De Paris and Palexpo.
The CCD now moves forward to compete with other regional winners for the title of ‘World's Leading Meetings & Conference Centre’ which will be announced at the Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal in December.
Dublin's Sandymount Hotel has also retained its status as ‘Europe’s Leading Green Hotel’, winning the award for a second year running.
The venue beat off competition from the likes of ICE Hotel in Sweden, Vila Vita Parc in Portugal and Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo in Cannes to take the title for the second consecutive year.
