A range of Dublin tourism businesses attended a Networking event in the Royal College of Physicians this week, where they were provided with updates on th
e latest Dublin tourism initiatives by Paul Kelly, Chief Executive of Fáilte Ireland and heard how to deliver business success from keynote speaker, networking expert Kingsley Aikins.
Outlining the National Tourism Development Authority’s priorities to build on Dublin’s tourism success, Paul Kelly, Chief Executive of Fáilte Ireland said:
“As Dublin is the key gateway to Ireland, it is vital that the city’s tourism sector is supported to ensure that we continue to build a world class industry. As part of the supports provided by Fáilte Ireland, we have recently announced a focused capital grants scheme to develop world-class visitor attractions in the Dublin Region with €1m in funding available for this initiative, ‘Dublin's Surprising Stories 2018’. In addition, we have also developed a new tagline for the Dublin brand, ‘Dublin Surprising By Nature’ which we are continuing to roll out to industry and the public and we are supporting a dedicated ’shoulder season’ marketing campaign with a number of online travel portals and airlines. In addition, we are organising and supporting a number of Get Brexit Ready related events and workshops.”
