Hotel Holds Wedding Prices

Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort has announced that it will not increase its charges for couples who have already booked their wedding at the hotel and any new bookings for weddings held in 2019.
In October, the government announced changes to the VAT rate for the tourism sector increasing it from 9% to 13.5% with effect from January 1, 2019.

Two Titles for Failte Ireland

Fáilte Ireland has been awarded a top digital technology accolade for its website – a platform for meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) 


professionals looking to bring business to Ireland.
 The website, which was designed by Simply Zesty, won the top spot in the Best in Travel, Tourism & Sport category at The Spiders, Ireland’s leading technology awards. was recognised for its innovative design and appeal for its target market, as well as helping to deliver 80 business meetings and events opportunities worth in excess of €35m alone in the first year since it was launched. 
The award is the second accolade the Meet in Ireland team has won this week, having being named IBTM Stand Personnel of the Year in Barcelona and beating off competition from 270 other exhibitors from around the world. IBTM World is a leading global event for the MICE industry, and the award recognised the Meet in Ireland team’s professionalism and innovation in selling Ireland as a MICE destination to more than 4,000 buyers.

Tourism Ireland has been attending the USTOA (United States Tour Operators Association) Annual Conference & Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona.

The conference is an important event in the annual travel calendar, bringing together leading North American travel professionals with suppliers and destinations from around the world. It’s a valuable opportunity to meet, and do business with, influential American tour operators. The event involves five busy days of one-to-one appointments and networking workshops.

Adventure Tourism Sector Meets

Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT), an independent representative body for the adventure tourism sector is holding its first annual conference in Mullingar in association with Westmeath County Council from Wednesday, 5th December to Thursday, 6th December.. The conference is being held at the Mullingar Park Hotel and keynote speakers will include entrepreneur & broadcaster, Bobby Kerr; Fáilte Ireland, ITIC, Tourism Ireland and other tourism industry figures.
