'Gaeilge' gong for Connacht

The Connacht Hotel, Galway has wonThe Tourism &  Hospitality Category at the recent Gaillimh le Gaeilge Awards, Gradam Sheosaimh Uí

Ógartaigh.  This is the second year in a row that the hotel has taken home their category award. The award ceremony marked the pinnacle of Gaillimh le Gaeilge’s celebrations of 30 years in business and applauds the outstanding efforts of the business community promoting ‘An Ghaeilge’ in  Ireland’s Bilingual City and European Capital of Culture 2020. “The management & staff at the hotel have dedicated themselves to promoting the hotel as a bilingual business  over the past four years and for this to be recognised by winning this award is the ultimate reward” Wayne Neilon, General Manager.
The Gradam winners all received a business package to the value of €2,000 from their respective category sponsor as well as a replica of Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh sponsored by Údarás na Gaeltachta.
