PREM plans €11m upgrades

PREM Group is investing  over €11 million in the  three Irish hotels it has purchased within the past two years. Extensive refurbishment programmes have already begun a

t the four star properties – the Osprey Hotel and Spa, Kildare; Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort, near Blessington, Co Wicklow and the Cahernane House hotel in Killarney.  All properties will remain open throughout the refurbishment with the most significant work being undertaken during the off-peak season to avoid disruption to guests.
Extra bedrooms will also be added at all three properties, subject to planning permission, along with new ultra-modern spa facilities at the Osprey and Tulfarris resorts. The €3.6 million programme at Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort also includes extensive work on the hotel’s 18 hole championship golf course.
Announcing details of its major investment programme, Jim Murphy, Chief Executive, PREM Group said: “All three properties are already benefitting from the continued recovery in the domestic leisure and corporate sectors combined with the growth in overseas visitor numbers. This programme will solidify their positions among the leading hotels in their regions.”
