Hoteliers Honour More Employees

Branches of the Irish Hotels Federation continue to recognise staff performance in a series of “Employee of the Year” events.

Recent award ceremonies include Shannon Branch, which named Italo Tucci as its “Employee of the Year”. Italo is an accounts assistant at Great National South Court Hotel in Limerick. Initially Italo joined the team as a receptionist before transitioning into the role of accounts assistant. He quickly became invaluable in his new role given his understanding of the link between accounts and the front desk.

Galway Branch chose Joanne Murray of the Skeffington Arms Hotel as its “Employee of the Year”. Joanne's colleagues say:

“She keeps a cool head and is always polite and respectful when dealing with all members of the team no matter their department. Even through a busy service, she will deal with all queries from the floor with knowledge and good humour.”

She is pictured with Padraig Nolan, chairperson, Galway Branch IHF and general manager, Oranmore Lodge Hotel.
