Gifts Add to Wrights Airport Offer

The 17th March 2022 was a big day for Wrights of Howth. On one of the busiest days of the year at Dublin Airport, the 130-year old Dublin brand expanded its deli in Terminal 1 to include high-quality Irish gifts.

Wrights of Howth has had a presence in the airport since 1992, focusing initially on smoked salmon, and later on Irish food brands such as McCambridge’s soda bread and delicatessen fare.

One year ago, it built on the success of the food and beverage offer to include Irish gift ranges such as Foxford Woollen Mills, Waterford Crystal, Ireland’s Eye Aran sweaters, La Bougie candles and Newbridge. The success of the expansion in the T1 store led Bernie Wright, director, and her son David Wright, managing director, to seek out a unit in T2 for the gifting offer.

The offer complements the existing food offering in Terminal 1, creating a one-stop destination for thousands of passengers annually.

“For years passengers have been picking up Wrights of Howth smoked salmon to take abroad as presents. It makes perfect sense that they can now pick up other gifts synonymous with Ireland. And with our fresh food offering, we make sure they’re well fed and watered for their onward journey,” said Bernie.
