Free Attractions App for Hotels 

Former hotel general manager turned tech entrepreneur, Ivan Tuohy,  is making his  visitor app and directory "Great Visitor Experiences" available free to hotels.

“Hotels are, more than ever, seeking to extend visitor stays to optimise revenue and offset costs. Local attractions within a given destination can play a key role in achieving this. However, hotels don’t always have this information or resources available to service guest enquiries. 

"A simple link within confirmation emails to guests, or a QR code displayed around the hotel and in the bedrooms, brings guests to our directory of ‘things to see and do’ in the county they are visiting. The more there is to do, the more time the guest will need to do it.

Ivan Tuohy is well qualified to understand both sides of the visitor dynamic. In addition to his hotel career, he also served for a number of years as general manager of Shannon Heritage, Ireland’s largest visitor attraction operator.

The Great Visitor Experiences website details both paid and free attractions and activities in each county, providing a wealth of information that would otherwise be impossible to source in one site.
