Family Heritage at ‘The Baker Room’

Popular wedding venue Cloughjordan House has added The Baker Room garden pavilion to their award-winning property. The glass-enclosed space is a personal milestone for the Baker family, who have nurtured Cloughjordan House from its dairy farm roots into a destination for celebration and memories.

Nestled within the walled gardens of the 800-year-old property, The Baker Room offers panoramic views of the grounds, a seamless connection to nature, and a warm, architectural presence inspired by the relaxed charm of the house.

While purpose-built with weddings in mind, the space will also lend itself to retreats, workshops and creative escapes – always in keeping with the spirit of Cloughjordan House.

Named in honour of the family who transformed Cloughjordan House, it also marks the transition to a new generation of leadership. Julie Baker, eldest daughter of founders Peter and Sarah Baker, has stepped into the role of general manager, joined by her husband, Stephen Gondry.

“The Baker Room represents everything we care about: family, nature, great food, and making people feel at home,” said Julie Baker. “It’s a space that looks to the future, but is deeply connected to our past.”

The Baker Room is now open for bookings for weddings and events from Summer 2025 onward.
