Doing Business in Vegas
"Meet in Ireland" was the message at IMEX America in Las Vegas. Tourism Ireland, together with Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, was joined by 35 tourism companies from around Ireland at this annual event.
IMEX (International Meetings and Events Exhibition) America is the largest trade show for the Business Events sector in the United States, bringing together decision-makers from the global corporate meetings, events and incentive travel industry. Representing Ireland were leading hotels, conference venues, destination management companies and professional conference organisers.
Around 1,900 commercial meetings were conducted on the Ireland stand.
The Business Events sector contributes more than €1 billion to our economy each year and the new Business Events 2030 strategy for Ireland has an ambitious target to drive an average annual revenue growth rate of +8% out to 2030.
Ahead of IMEX America, Tourism Ireland hosted an "Ireland Golf Day" at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas, bringing together tourism partners from Ireland with North American events planners and key media.
