Death of Colm Hannon

Sadly, we report the passing of Colm Hannon, formerly CEO of Adare Manor.

Colm spent 26 years working in hotels owned by J.P. McManus, including periods as general manager of Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados and resident manager at Cambridge Beaches Bermuda. He also held the role of CEO at Luttrellstown Castle. 

During his tenure at Adare Manor, he oversaw an extensive 21-month restoration, refurbishment and expansion project ahead of its reopening in November 2017, as well as the hotel’s successful bid to host the Ryder Cup in 2027.

Colm died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of Milford Care Centre. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Sue (Byrne); children Conor, Shane and Ciara; his parents John and Mary; siblings John and Caroline; parents-in-law Les and Vera; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his many close and special friends and colleagues.

Reposing at home in The Demesne, Adare Manor, on Saturday 3rd December from 1pm to 5pm. Funeral arriving at Mary Immaculate Church, Shannon, on Monday 5th December for Requiem Mass at 12 noon,  followed by private cremation.
