Colin Champions Irish food

Ireland’s food scene and scenery are set to be beamed into homes across Australia, as the lifestyle show Better Homes and Gardens films here.

The show, which airs on the Seven Network to an average audience of 1.3 million per episode, is presented by Irish-born, Sydney-based chef Colin Fassnidge. Filming is supported by Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

Colin and his crew are filming in various locations in Wexford, Cork, Galway, Meath and Dublin. From tasting seaweed butter in Gorey to sampling traditional black pudding at Cork’s English Market, Colin is shining a spotlight on Irish produce and the people behind it. His schedule also includes a visit to Ballymaloe Cookery School, a guided food tour in Kinsale and oyster shucking at Kelly Oysters in Kilcolgan.

Sofia Hansson, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Australia and New Zealand, said: "We are delighted to welcome back the Better Homes and Gardens team to Ireland, and who better than Irish chef Colin Fassnidge to showcase our exceptional culinary scene."
