CLIFF at Mount Congreve
Mount Congreve Gardens has appointed CLIFF as its new culinary operator.
CLIFF group is comprised of Irish hospitality brands including Cliff House Hotel, Michelin-starred House Restaurant, Cliff Beach House and Urchin in Ardmore, along with the Cliff at Lyons estate in Kildare.
Sara Dolan, Commercial Director at Mount Congreve Gardens, said:
“We officially opened at Mount Congreve Gardens on March 1st, and despite the inclement weather, visitors have come to explore our new experience in their droves. We aim to continue to build on attracting visitors from the region, across the country and internationally, and we know that our CLIFF hospitality partners match us in their vision, ambition and high standards of quality.”
The new menu and operations have been launched by The Pantry at CLIFF team who have operated their own café on the grounds of the 19th century village of the Cliff at Lyons for the last five years. The chefs are also working with the new Mount Congreve School of Horticulture who are restoring the walled gardens and helping to produce as much fruit and vegetables as possible for the café.
The café offering has been designed by CLIFF Executive Chef Sean Smith, who has worked at Cliff at Lyons. Head Chef Bruno Caveirina leads the kitchen team, having previously worked for Cliff Townhouse in Dublin and most recently at 360 Cookhouse in Dungarvan.
The Stables Café at Mount Congreve Gardens is also delighted to announce that it is now a dog-friendly space, and it is open daily for the summer months and will open Thursday - Sunday in the autumn. In addition, a brand-new Afternoon Tea menu will commence from September 2nd, this will be served in the Tack Room overlooking the gardens at €35 per person.
