Chef Brady RIP

Patrick Brady, who has passed away, was an outstanding chef and culinary leader.

Over a distinguished career, he headed the kitchens at the Berkeley Court, Westbury and other five star hotels and mentored the development of generations of young chefs through his leading roles in the Panel of Chefs of Ireland. A graduate of Rockwell Hotel School, he represented his country at culinary competitions across the globe.

Patrick Gerard Brady of Firhouse, D24, and formerly of Mount Brown, Kilmainham, D8, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family after an illness bravely borne in the care of the staff of ICU, Tallaght University Hospital.

Beloved husband of Helen, loving and much-loved dad of Gearóid, Niamh and Ronán. Paddy (Gerard) will be forever loved and sadly missed by his wife and family: daughter-in-law Linda; son-in-law Tomás; and Ronán’s partner Aaron; his grandchildren Rían, Kyle, Éabha, Tom and Grace; sisters Mary, Angela and Loreto; brother Seamus; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family relatives and a wide circle of friends.
