Celeb Chef Chases Glitterball
Chef and restaurateur Kevin Dundon has swapped his whites for dancing pumps as he seeks to win the coveted “Glitterball” trophy on RTE’s Dancing with the Stars. Partnered by professional dancer Rebecca Scott, the Dunbrody House owner made his debut on Sunday together with ten other contestants.
Kevin Dundon already has a high media profile through cookery shows such as Guerrilla Gourmet and RTE’s Today show.
The 59-year-old chef is also the author of the book Full on Irish: Contemporary Creative Cooking, and he has also cooked for the late Queen Elizabeth and both an Irish and a US president.
Formerly a chef at The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, Kevin is the owner of Dunbrody Country House Hotel in County Wexford, which also houses the Dunbrody Cookery School. He is the “signature chef” of an Irish gastropub located in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and the “face” of the Nine Fine Irishmen restaurant in the New York-New York hotel in Las Vegas.
