Brennan Hotels for Sale
Francis and John Brennan are selling The Park Hotel and The Lansdowne Kenmare with guide prices of €17m and €3.5m respectively. The two hotels are being offered by CBRE Hotels for sale individually or together by Private Treaty with a combined guide price of €20.5m.
Located in Kenmare in Co Kerry, the five-star 41-bedroomed Park Hotel Kenmare has five dining centres, a lap pool, an infinity pool, a private cinema and a luxury spa. More than €3m has been invested in the hotel in recent years, which included the refurbishment of all the bedrooms, corridors and a complete renovation of the ground floor public areas and kitchen.
The Lansdowne Kenmare is a 28-bedroom four star boutique hotel located in the heart of Kenmare town, which underwent a complete refurbishment in 2021.
John Brennan and Francis Brennan said that after 43 years at the helm of the Park Hotel Kenmare, they have taken the decision to exit on a high and place the hotel together with its sister property, The Lansdowne Kenmare, on the market.
“The Park has enjoyed a wonderful life making many peoples’ stay with us memorable, and while only in its infancy, The Lansdowne Kenmare is following in its footsteps. Nothing is forever, and while we have invested heavily in recent years to ensure both properties are pristine, we feel the time is right to take some time to ourselves and pursue other interests and business opportunities.”
Paul Collins, Executive Director, Head of Hotels Ireland at CBRE, said the sale offers purchasers the opportunity to acquire the two hotels as a single lot and benefit from the economies of scale, or they can be purchased individually.
John Brennan said the brothers will keep the Dromquinna Manor hotel which will “give us more than we need in life”.
