‘Bhoys’ Gather at Sligo Park

Sligo Park Hotel welcomed Glasgow Celtic FC, the Scottish Premiership champions and former European Cup winners, as they prepared for their friendly match against Sligo Rovers.

Stars from the Glasgow soccer giants, led by manager Brendan Rodgers, arrived at the hotel after traveling from Ireland West Airport and used the hotel as their base ahead of the fixture. The Celtic contingent was also accompanied by Willie McStay, director of Celtic FC and former Sligo Rovers manager from 1992-94.

Sligo Park Hotel General Manager and Director Gerard Moore said:

“Our staff eagerly anticipated their visit and took great pride in providing exceptional service to the team, management and directors of the club. This day was truly memorable for everyone involved.”

The game itself ended in victory for Celtic, who scored twice in added time to win 3-2.
