‘Beautiful but Slow’ Rail Line
The Wexford to Dublin rail link is a "beautiful line but it’s too slow and doesn’t offer a frequent enough service" according to the Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan, who told councillors that the solution is to run shuttle trains to Wicklow, where the Dart would be extended to bring people into the city.
"The frequency of the train from Wexford to Dublin is not good enough. I would see this as one of the projects we will be pushing over the next few weeks," the Minister said at a Wexford County Council meeting.
