Ballygally Castle Hotel in Antrim has just been recognised in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards “Best of the Best”, placing it among the top 1% of listings worldwide.
Based on reviews from the Tripadvisor community over the past year, this award reflects genuine guest experiences and Tripadvisor’s trusted authority.
In the same landmark year, the hotel has announced a programme of events and packages from May to December to commemorate its 400th anniversary, inviting both guests and the local community to immerse themselves in the castle’s rich history, culture and stunning coastal setting.
Built in 1625 by James Shaw and perched along Northern Ireland's Antrim coastline, the castle has evolved through the centuries to become one of the region’s most popular destinations.
Since joining the Hastings Hotels group in 1966 under the ownership of Sir William Hastings, the castle’s character has been preserved, earning it both local admiration and global recognition.
