€22M Price Tag on Buswells Hotel
Buswells Hotel in Dublin is on the market with a guide price of €22 million. It is a popular meeting spot for politicians, journalists and lobbyists given its location across the street from Leinster House.
The Molesworth Street property has operated as a hotel since the 19th century. In 1995, Buswells was bought by businessman Sean Quinn, and it underwent extensive renovations.
Liquidators for the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC) are selling the hotel. They took control of the business, along with other Quinn assets, in 2019.
Property advisers Savills Ireland are handling the sale and have described Buswells as an historic hotel in a trophy Dublin location. The 67-bedroom property is being offered for sale as a trading hotel free of management agreement and brand.
