Spanish media visit

 spainjourno1019

Five leading travel and lifestyle journalists from a number of high-profile Spanish media outlets – including daily and weekly newspapers, as well as radio stations – are visiting Dublin and Wicklow, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The journalists are pictured with Pura Gimenez, Tourism Ireland (third left) and tour guide Cecilia Ferrari (centre), at the Powerscourt Distillery.
The journalists – who have a combined readership of more than 22 million people – will highlight the wide range of things to see and do here to their readers and listeners. Their  itinerary included a guided tour of the new Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI) on St Stephen’s Green, Glendalough and Roe & Co Distillery.

Barbara Wood, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Spain, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite these influential Spanish journalists to visit Dublin and Wicklow this week, to experience for themselves some of the many great things to see and do here. They’ve been really impressed by our visitor attractions, wonderful scenery and the friendliness of the people they’ve met.”

In 2018, we welcomed 423,000 Spanish visitors to the island of Ireland.

Barbara Wood continued: “Tourism Ireland is undertaking an extensive programme of promotional activity once again in 2019, to continue to grow Spanish visitor numbers – and visits like this are an invaluable part of Tourism Ireland’s overall promotional programme, helping to get positive exposure for Ireland the media in Spain.”
