Mag show Glendalough 'Dark Side'

 A 12-page fashion spread, shot in Glendalough this summer, features in the latest edition of StyleBy, a popular fashion magazine in Sweden, with some 50,000 readers per edition. This is the second major feature showcasing 


Wicklow in StyleBy.
This month’s feature appears under the headline “welcome to the dark side” and includes lots of wonderful photos of Glendalough. Ronan Plans Four Hotels

Developer Johnny Ronan plans to develop four new hotels according to a report in the 'Sunday Independent'.

The portfolio will include a new 70 bedroom boutique hotel on the upper floors of Bewley's Cafe on Grafron Street and a 167 bedroom hotel in a to


wer block next to Tara Street station.

The two other hotels are planned for Enniskerry and Delgan

Kerr Reveals Cancer Treatment

Bobby Kerr, a direcor of the Insomnia coffee shop chain, has revelaed that he is being treated for cancer of 'the neck and head''.

The 55 year old member of the well-known hotelier family, made the announcement during his 'Down to Business' programme on Newstalk FM. He said that he is taking a six week bre


ak from the programme during his treatment.

Hotels Challenge Trivago Claim

The Irish Hotels Federation has diksputed the price claims made by Trivago in relation to hotel rates during the Web Summit.
 The IHF claims that the average room rate for hotel rooms during this year’ Web Summit was €146, peaking at €155 on Wednesday 4th November. Itsays thatthese  figures are based on actual bookings made for over 15,000 bedrooms in Dublin, many of which were booked months in advance.  
'This represents excellent value for a major international event of this scale in a European capital at a time when Dublin was almost fully booked', it says. The IHF also notes that, year to date, the average room rate in Dublin is €112 and the average occupancy rate is 84%.

WOW flies to West Coast

Airline WOW air has announced a new route from Dublin to the west coast of the United States.



It will begin flying the routes next summer with Los Angeles and San Francisco - both via Iceland - confirmed.
