Manor House wins AA Award

The Manor House Country Hotel had reason to celebrate as they took home the award for AA Hotel of the Year for Northern Ireland.

The accolade, given to hotels that are recognised as being outstanding in their particular market, was awarded to the Manor House Country Hotel at the AA Hospitality Awards at Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, a lavish celebration of the best of the hospitality industry considered to be the industry’s own equivalent of the Oscars.

Sligo Tourism Think-In

Over 60 of Sligo’s key tourism industry stakeholders gathered in the Radisson Hotel Blu Hotel for a 'Tourism Co-Operation for Success' conference. Organised by Fáilte Ireland, the event provided an ideal opportunity for local stakeholders to come together as a new tourism strategy is being developed for Sligo.

Carnegie Court on Market

The three star Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords is being offered for sale by Savills auctioneers, who describe the hotel as being 'a modern 36 bedroom property close to Dublin airport' with a price tag of €4.75 million.

Thye property has planning permission for a further 35 guestrooms.

Additional features include The Harp bar, a courtyard restaurant, a large nightclub called Rouge, conference and banqueting facilities as well as a function room that can host 300 guests.

Skerries wins 'Tidy Towns'

Skerries in Co Dublinhas been chosen as 'Ireland's Tidiest Town' in the National Tidy Towns Awards.

Birdhill in Co Tipperary won the prize as Ireland’s tidiest village, with Listowel, Co Kerry taking the award for the country’s tidiest small town.The large town award went to Ennis, Co Clare.
