Kerry 'Takes Berlin

Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin TD, is leading a delegation from Kerry to Berlin. The aim of the visit is to highlight Kerry in the German market, and in

particular the new, twice-weekly Ryanair flight from Berlin to Kerry.

Tourism Ireland hosted a networking lunch event for Minister Griffin and the delegation from Kerry, which was attended by key German travel trade and media representatives.

Ireland at Iceland Summit

Ashling Extension Plan

The owners of the Ashling Hotel on Parkgate Street Dublin are seeking permission to add a ten storey extension which will have 31 'executive self-contained suites'.

The hotel is owned by members of the Flannery family who also own Flannery's and the Imperial hotels in Galway.

Belfast Fanzone Plan

Belfast-based private equity firm Norlin Ventures is to expand its leisure and community offering with the introduction of Northern Ireland’s largest fanzone facility at its South13

venue in South Belfast.

Located on the Boucher Road, the former B&Q warehouse will become Fanzone@S13 during the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers for the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland soccer teams, as well as the Irish rugby team’s clash with South Africa.

The 10,000 capacity indoor venue will boast a 40sqm screen, licenced bar facilities and a range of food and beverage options, as well as free on-site parking. Family entertainment will include penalty shoot-outs, bouncy castles, face painting and opportunities to win amazing prizes.
