Images of the Wild Atlantic Way will be seen by more than one million people in France early next year, after an episode of a popular travel TV show, called Échappées
Belles, was filmed here this week.

The show’s presenter and film crew were here as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland, filming footage for a special Ireland episode, which will be broadcast in 2016 on France 3, the second largest public TV channel in France.
Filming took place in Co Kerry, in Dingle and around Slea Head. The crew then continued to a farm in Croom, Co Limerick; and to the matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna and the Cliffs of Moher. Footage was also captured in Galway city, Clarenbridge, Carraroe and the Aran Islands.

The publicity value of a TV programme like Échappées Belles is incalculable – it is a great way of promoting the West of Ireland in France, helping to inspire holidaymakers there to come and experience the destination for themselves.”
