Seven travel agents from India have been sampling some of the sights and culinary delights of Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland.

The Indian travel agents are pictured at the Spanish Arch in Galway, with Kavya Chawla, Tourism Ireland (centre), and tour guide Maura O’Reilly (right).
The travel agents – from various Indian cities including Mumbai, Chennai and Ahmedabad – are here to experience our superb tourism offering, so that when they return home they will be even better informed to advise their clients when planning and booking their holidays.
Amanda Burns, Tourism Ireland’s manager Asia, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of Indian travel agents to visit Ireland this week. Fact-finding visits such as this an important element of our work with the travel trade in India, as they get to experience at first-hand what’s on offer here for Indian holidaymakers. Our aim is to enthuse the travel agents about the destination, so that when they return home they will be even better informed to advise their clients when planning and booking their trip to Ireland.”
