An Post has appointed Shannon Heritage to operate and manage the GPO Witness History Interpretive Exhibition Centre. Th

e contract was awarded following a tender process.

 The visitor centre is under construction in the inner eastern courtyard of the GPO and is expected to attract up to 300,000 visitors annually when it opens at Easter 2016.
