New Paris Tourism Event

CIT Roadshow

Cork Institute of Technology Department of Tourism & Hospitality is heading out on the road with a series of Tourism, Hospitality & Culinary Roadshows, commencing on Tuesday 25th November, in the Midleton Park Hotel, East Cork.

Designed to inform secondary school students and their parents about the opportunities and training available in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality, Culinary, Hotels, Events, Catering, Restaurant or Bar Management. The event will include cookery demonstrations, ‘mocktail’ demonstrations and restaurant skills demonstrations, along with a question and answer session with a panel including current students, new graduates, lecturers and industry practitioners.

The event is supported by the Cork Branch of the Irish Hotels Federation and Michael Magner, its Chairman, said:

African Products in Donnybrook

Gourmet chocolate from Madagascar, beers from Nigeria and Kenya, along with a host of exotic sauces from both Kenya and Swaziland were launched at Donnybrook Fair yesterday

The products have been introduced to the Irish market by Value Added in Africa (VAA), an Irish social enterprise which builds sustainable channels to market for branded African products. The Proudly Made in Africa label, which is licenced by VAA, shows that companies meet high standards of product quality, act responsibly and trade fairly.
