Holidays in Kerry are on air in Germany right now, courtesy of a Tourism Ireland radio promotion which will reach over 100,000 listeners. A competition on local station Radio Duisburg is offering two lucky listeners the chance to win a holiday in ‘The Kingdom’. Tourism Ireland adverts (30- and 60-second versions) are highlighting ease of access to Kerry with the Ryanair service from Düsseldorf Weeze Airport as well as the many things to see and do for German holidaymakers in this part of Ireland. Listeners are encouraged to visit a specially-created Tourism Ireland web page which describes the South West and features images of Kerry.
Barbara Wood, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Central Europe, said: “This is a great opportunity to highlight the superb tourism product of Kerry, as well as the ease of access to the South West from Germany. Tourism Ireland has an extensive promotional programme in place for 2010 in Germany, to showcase the uniqueness of a holiday in the South West and around the island of Ireland. A range of campaigns is highlighting the tremendous value on offer as well as compelling reasons to visit. The message here in Germany is that there has never been a better time to visit the island of Ireland.”
