The death at an early age of Tricia Murphy has left a void in the Irish hospitality industry. Known as 'The Networking Queen', Tricia was a frequent presenter at IHI and other conferences and was much loved for her feisty approach and bubbly personality.
She had battled cancer for more than two years prior to her passing on 29th. June.
Friend and colleague Michael Comyn writes:
'Tricia Murphy was a networking coach and consultant and with over 20 years experience working internationally with companies and individuals to develop and refine their networking skills. Her self belief in the power of networking led to the founding of the TiG Alliance in 2001 which specialised in training in networking skills and developing and facilitating effective networking events. Tricia believed that effective networking involves discovering, developing and unlocking connections between people and opening up hidden opportunities presented through personal introductions and the development of mutually beneficial relationships. She lived this philosophy and that is why she touched the lives of so many people.'
