The Food Safety Professionals Association (FSPA) will host a National Education Conference on Food Allergens and Contaminants in the overall context of Food Safety at The Chapel in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin on Friday 2 November 2012.
The half day conference, which is free to attend, will discuss food allergies and intolerances and the many and serious resulting health problems. Controlling cross contamination in industry is a key issue and one which the FSPA has been keen to highlight to the food manufacturing, hospitality and catering sectors in Ireland.
National and international food safety experts will address the attendees of the conference, including James McIntosh of Safefood, Simon Flanagan of University of Reading , Ray Ellard of The Food Safety Authority and Adrian Cummins of the Restaurant Association of Ireland.
