Sisters Karena and Kasey Te Awa Bird, who were Masterchef New Zealand 2014 winners are in Ireland to film their new TV series 'Karena and Kasey’s Foreign Flavours'. The

series follows their discovery of new food experiences in countries while showcasing the people and culture within them. The Ireland show will broadcast live on national TV New Zealand later this year to an audience of 250,000 where hopefully the audience will get a taste for travel and be inspired to have an Irish adventure of their own.

Fáilte Ireland, in association with Tourism Ireland, assisted the Maori sisters who come from a small town in the central North Island. The programme is one of 6 learning stories where the sisters get out and about to meet local chefs, food producers and people in the know to learn as much as possible about food in Ireland.
